Tattoo Art Collection

A showcase of traditional Central Asian ornamental tattoo designs, blending ancient petroglyph motifs with modern tattoo artistry.

The Art of Central Asian Tattoo

The tattoo traditions of Central Asia date back thousands of years, with petroglyphs found throughout the Tien Shan mountains serving as some of the earliest known examples of body art symbolism.

At WNA's School of Fine Arts & Design, students study these ancient patterns — from the ram horn motifs symbolizing prosperity to the eagle designs representing freedom and strength — and learn to interpret them through contemporary tattoo artistry.

Our tattoo design program is one of the few in the world that combines traditional Central Asian ornamental art with modern tattoo techniques, preserving cultural heritage while pushing creative boundaries.
